{Month and Season} The month is March, the season is spring. The weather outside is warming up day by day. Though nights are still a bit chilly, the days are warm and sunny. The time for pups to be born is now or nearing. Deer gather and give birth, new fawns are easy prey. Myci is now dead, and the cougars are on their way. For now, everything is at peace.(It is also time to change skins to Dawn of Spring.)

((This was for the bit on Sakura's plot line. Basically this has already happened because Kaiwii is no longer looking for Barak and Aolan and went to meet with the pack again.))

The small, almost dwarfed, Healer overlooked Topaz Island. It was not what she had expect for Aolan and her brother were not there. She had assumsed that they went on ahead to the island and would be waiting for her. "Aolan! For the gods' sakes where are you?" she shouted crossly, eyes flashing. Her black paws, wet from the swim to the island, danced uneasily on the warm sand as a strange, foreboding wind came from the island. Hadn't Sakura said something about evil winds? "Evil winds, hah! What strange talk. They are foolish to believe such idiotic words." She then stopped herself, considering the ill words she had spoken. "Oh, that was terrible of me. I wouldn't ever think of such things of the alphess."

"Yes, but the alphess and her blind advisor are foolish. There is no mistaking how horribly the pack will fail with such a pupish wolf in charge. Then there is her overconfident brother, the blind cat, and an alpha who is never here. The pack is dying, Kaiwii."

The fox-like wolf froze as a form came from the forest of the island. It was almost like a wolf, but leaner and everything about it was sharp and graceful. It was a jackal. "Leave behind your ways of following and be your own leader for once. Rebel and strike against the pack. They do not care about you, and nor should you think highly of them," the jackal cried out.

"They're my friends," Kaiwii called back fiercely.

"Friends? Windsong is your friend, Surkan is your friend? Aolan cannot look you straight in the eye, I've seen her. They all see how odd you are. Wolves are not supposed to know of herbs and roots. Healing is a gift, and one looked down upon. Mao is not your friend for he thinks that since he was once possessed that makes him superior to you. How can you defend those arrogant fools?" The jackal snorted in disgust. "The Tiger would agree with me. He and I both have watched this pack, and it has no right to live any longer."

Kaiwii turned, for she had a feeling that the jackal was mad. As she was about to lunge into the icy waters, she felt the other creature ram into her side, knocking the small wolf from her feet. Now Kaiwii was actually a very old wolf, but the islands had caused her to become young again. This impact rattle her bones, and they remembered pain and age once more.

"Unless you stand against the alphess, then age will over come you again. You have no choice, wolf. Even if you do not rebel, then I will."

The Jackal lunged again, but just as Kaiwii closed her eyes and waited for fangs to dig into her throat, the strange creature suddenly went silent. Kaiwii opened her eyes, but the Jackal was no where to be found. he was not in the ocean nor on the beach. With a heavy heart and a clouded mind, Kaiwii began swimming back to Moonlight Mountain.
