{Month and Season}
The month is March, the season is spring.
The weather outside is warming up day by day. Though nights are still a bit chilly, the days are warm and sunny. The time for pups to be born is now or nearing. Deer gather and give birth, new fawns are easy prey. Myci is now dead, and the cougars are on their way. For now, everything is at peace.(It is also time to change skins to Dawn of Spring.)

( OOC// Yay! Someone lives! I thought you had all died, so I haven't checked in a while. I was cleaning out my bookmarks and I saw you had posted. <3 )

Cupaka watched him leave the area, and waited, ears folded back against her head in pain as her paws throbbed. If it had only been one paw, and if she hadn't cracked a rib- Or two, it was hard to tell- She'd be able to slowly make her way back to Fell. From there. . . Well, from there, they'd just have to see. Cupaka perked ears as distant-sounding pawsteps approached, and turned her head, watching the male approach. Without a word, he set the stuff- Whatever it was- On a rock, then left again. Cupaka watched in silence.

Soon, he returned, and she watched him walking on three legs. "You-?" She nearly asked him if he was ok, but cut herself short, snarling silently. She was softening up, simply because she was injured. How. . . Stupid! Cup watched him approach her, and winced when he rubbed the mushy. . . Stuff over her paws. She growled a bit in pain as he wrapped her paws, then leaned back when he finished.

"Name's Cupaka. Yours?" She normally never gave her name first, but since he had 'taken care' of her, she supposed she'd make an acception.

He nodded, not noticing her staring but knowing that she had been looking at him. "I shall return momentarily." he said and slipped off, avoiding trees quite easily with his intense hearing. There was something different about the dirt around an obstruction that told him move out of the way before he collided with hte object. But anyways. He lowered his head to the ground and sniffed. He came across three plants that could have been the one that he was looking for. But one taste followed by a squishing paw and a sniff told him that htey were not it. As he continued deeper into hte foliage, he finally came across the plant that he had been looking for. He grabbed it at its base and pulled, pulling the roots and the entire weed up with it. On his returning trip to the injured female, he paused by a stream for about five minute and held the roots of the plant in the water for about five minute.

Once done soaking the plant roots, he stood up straight again and walked briskly back to where Cupaka lay. He found a large enough rock and layed the plant on it. After cleaning his paw in the stream he had just been at, he returned again, carefully avoiding placing his paw on the ground. Then, he placed his paw on the roots of the plant and began pressing and smashing. Once the roots were flat he scraped his claws through it until it was mushy. He placed the mush on his muzzle and walked back over to Cupaka, sensing the heated injury spot on her feet and rubbing the mash across all of them. Then he grabbed the plant part of the plant and wrapped two leaves each around the front right paw and the back left paw.

Done, he sat back a few feet away from Cupaka. "You must rest for the rest of today and the full of tomorrow. Then, in two days, you will be able to begin to walk on them again. Light walks, mind you. If you walk too much too soon the healing will be futile and we will need to begin again." Romke finished and blinked his nearly neon orange eyes as he looked at Cupaka. "Now m'lady, what be your name?" he asked quietly, looking away as if he knew what he was looking at.

Cupaka looked up. She preferred depending on herself, but if the male could heal her paws, then she'd rather be back on them than be selfish and take forever to heal slowly. So, Cupaka nodded, then glanced back at her paws. "Ok." Looking back up, she studied his eyes for a bit, before looking away quickly. She didn't want to be seen staring, not because it was rude, but because she would rather hold what pride she could and not seem like an awed idiot.

He blinked a bit, watching her though not really. His enhanced senses told her what she was doing. "Miss, I may be of assistance." but he stopped as he almost talked about himself as a healer. He barely ever spoke of himself. He thought it was too self-centered to do so. "I know a few things about healing." was all he said, looking away and his odd eyes blinking again as he turned back to her, wondering if she would accept his offer or not.

Cupaka looked up at the male, watching his neon orange eyes find her. They looked odd. . Blank, almost. But Cupaka had never seen a blind wolf, so she couldn't tell that was that he was. Cupaka merely shrugged, then tried to stand. She tried balancing her weight on her uninjured paws, but merely colapsed again, esclaiming, "Merde!" The cool, sophisticated language flowing out of the female's mouth would seem odd. Yes, she and her siblings new the language of French- In a wolf's way. It was a language that humans couldn't understand, but neither could wolves unless they knew french. Though it was the same words, it came out in a bark to humans. And, well, in those words to wolves.

"Sorry. I do that sometimes. . " Cupaka looked back at him, meaning her French explosion. Actually, she did it whenever she was angry. Well, pissed. Extremely, blow-your-top-lose-your-mind-scream-your-ears-off mad. And in pain. In alot of pain.

A black, white and gray male padded quietly along hte terrain. The scent of blood filled his blind mind and he smirked. The bright orange tint of his orbs flashed on and off as he blinked. looking blankly around and listening intently as he stopped in mid-stride. The dawning of the rising sun sent his spirits soaring, though he could not see it. But then again, one might need to lose one's vision in order to aquire it. His senses were multiplied due to his blindness, his disability. But then again, his mind sometimes took a great fall because of his blindness. He was not able to judge where a kill was and he only good as a healer, even though he was only three or four or so.

Romke's blank almost neon orange stare darted around in the growing light. How he longed to see the sunrise that everyone always told him was so wonderful. Again, he stopped midstride and listened intently, his sensitive hearing picking up the distant, soft sounds of breath intake. Hepadded foward, avoiding trees and bushes carefully. Once he was sure he was close enought o be heard, he put on a look like he could actually see, pinpointed where hte female lay and looked in that direction.

"Miss, is there something that I may help you with?" he asked gently, remembering the yelp that he had heard a while back.

Cupaka had finished the feast, of course, and had fell asleep, paws quite injured, ribs bruised and cracked, to rest up. She would have to heal in this valley, and it would take time. But she had trained.

Cupaka woke the next morning, glad to see her kill had been left alone while she slept. It was odd for her to sleep during the night, yet she had. Now, awake and fresh, she yawned and stood. . Then colapsed with a yip of pain as she remembered her paws, too late. They were bloodied and broken, the front right one and the back left one. She wouldn't be able to walk. Her chets hurt horribly; Likely the cracked ribs playing their part. Cupaka merely ate some more, though not as much as the night before. She'd not die due to injuries; She'd live, but she'd be limited in movement.

A large female trotted through the grass, scanning eyes around the surroundings. Empty, as far as she could tell. Except for the scent of food, delicious, fresh, live food. Perhaps it wasn't what Cupaka was used to eating, after travelling with siblings for such a long while- She and the rest were easily able to bring down another wolf together- But it would do. She doubted that Fell would trust a cannibal.

Cupaka slowed her trot to a walk, circled around and hit downwind. Good, now the beasts wouldn't smell her; First rule of hunting, yes. The large female shrunk down to the ground until she stood at less than a foot, and crept forward; Stalking, yes. Next her eyes would scan the group, but no, not for the weakest; The sick one, the young one, the one seperated from the rest; No, the female looked for what was sure to be the strongest in a herd of caribou, and found it; The buck.

She needed a challenge if she was to say she had trained. Creeping forward, she situated herself until she was directly lined up with the buck. Hinds bunched, the female sprang, and with that jump she released a howl. It had the effect she wanted; The herd ran.

Cupaka began the chase, long limbs carrying her at an amazingly fast pace, carrying her closer and closer to her target. But instead of a cheap shot to the hinds, she circled, picked up an even faster pace, and hit the front of the herd in no time. She gained a bit more, then whirled around. She began a quick, short-paced run, then paused for a split second, bunched hinds, and flew. The herd dashed under her, but her timing was right; She landed just as the buck's body was under her. A bit less time, and she could have had those deadly horns puncturing her stomach.

A howl of delight; She loved the chase, loved the jump; And then she got to work. The buck, not stupid, rolled over with the female on top of him. Yet he was stupid. Cupaka jumped off the brute, then jumped and landed on stomache. She tore with jaws, all the while struggling to remain on the thrashing buck. He rolled over again, much to Cupaka's surprise, and caught a paw underneath his heavy weight.

Damnit, have to be faster next time, idiot, she scolded herself, even as she made a limping dash to the now running buck. Hind legs bunched and she sprang; She did the cheap shot and latched onto rump with jaws. Hanging off a running caribou, she touched ground- Her body was long- And dragged, slowing the brute down. Then she let go, and dropped, then ran again, snapping at his heels with sharp jaws. This remained in play; But she soon got tired of the fake-chase. She sped up to her real pace, snapped again, and grabbed his leg. She stopped running, dug paws into the ground, and tore the leg right off the caribou.

It fell, of course, and Cupaka jumped on it. But it still had fighting power in it. It thrashed it's head, and the horns connected with her chest; She might have cracked a rib, it hurt so bad, but she'd not know. She tore at throat when he lifted his head, tore at stomache when he brought it down, until she was covered in blood. His hoof, as he rolled over, caught her paw; Now she was covered in her own blood also. But she kept at it. The rest of the herd was long gone, but she had the buck. She tore at stomache area a bit more, then transferred to side, then jumped at his neck as he lifted his head. The relentless tearing had paid off.

She tore into the jugular of the creature, stopped his air. It thrashed a bit more, and she jumped off it, landing on hurt paws and wincing, colapsing to the ground. But it was dead, finally, and Cup had only suffered a cracked rib or two, and a couple of broken paws. She crawled her way over to the buck, and tore into it's carcass, feasting.
